A real training center behind the screen
Most online certification sites are websites first and training providers second, if at all. We are the reverse.
Where we come from
A-B-CPR Online Training is the national, online arm of A-B-CPR & First Aid Training Inc, a family-owned American Heart Association Training Center based in San Diego that has taught CPR, first aid, and BLS since 1998. The in-person business is the original: decades of classroom teaching, thousands of students, and the AHA Training Center standards that go with it.
This site exists because a growing share of students genuinely need online training: caregivers on odd schedules, teams spread across states, people renewing between in-person cycles. We built the online program to serve them with the same curriculum discipline as our classrooms, and with something the online-certificate industry mostly lacks: honesty about when online is the wrong product.
A named instructor, not a logo
Our courses are built and overseen by Mike Long, the instructor who has led A-B-CPR's classroom training for more than 25 years. When you have a question, the support answer comes from a training company, not a ticketing vendor.
What we will not do
We will not tell you an online-only certificate meets a requirement that needs a hands-on skills check. We will not invent "national accreditation" that does not exist in this industry. And we will not sell you a course when what your job requires is an in-person class, which our parent brand teaches across Southern California. That honesty costs us some sales and earns the rest.
